Oil tanks come in many different sizes and shapes that's why SC Fuels provides this handy and easy to use oil tank chart for you to measure the amount of oil you have.

If you are an auto-fill customer you never have to worry about when you need an heating oil delivery. As part of being on the auto-fill program you never have to worry about running out of heating oil because we keep a close eye on your consumption and when you are do for your next delivery.

If you are an will-call customer and prefer to call around before placing your order then please utilize this oil tank chart to measure the amount of fuel that you have in your tank. This will ensure that you get the proper amount of heating oil needed to keep you, and your family warm. Follow these easy steps to measure how many gallons of heating oil you have left in your tank.

  1. On the oil tank chart below you will find a listing of numbers across the top of the chart that describes the common sizes of oil tanks. Find the column that matches the size of tank that you own.
  2. Next grab a tape measure, yard stick, or anything that you can use to reach the bottom of the oil tank and that you can use to measure the inches of oil in your tank.
  3. Stick the measurement device into the tank and withdraw it just like you would check the oil in your car.
  4. Come back to this oil tank chart and find the size of your oil tank at the top and the number of inches of oil in your tank.
  5. Go down the column and across the row and where ever those meet you will see how much oil is left in your tank.

For example if you had a 110 gallon tank and the tape measure is showing me that I have 2" of oil left in my tank I can refer to this oil tank chart and know that I only have three gallons of oil left and I will needing an oil delivery very soon.
